In-Person Community Service Programs
The Teen Center will have indoor/in-person programs for teens to earn community service this fall! Each program will provide instructions and materials necessary for them work on for the hour. Community service letters will be given physically or sent via email by the Teen Librarians.
Thursday, September 23rd
Receive one hour of community service for organizing the Teen Center’s perler beads for upcoming programs.
Tuesday, September 28th
Design a halloween craft buddy for the Teen Center Halloween decor to earn 1 hour of community service.
Thursday, October 14th
Do you miss coming to the Teen Center? Khan, Venus and Erin have missed you. Come and talk to us personally among your Teen Center friends to discuss programs, ideas, and more..! Receive 1 hour of community service.
Monday, October 25th
Join Jacqueline Parente as she teaches you how to sew small finger puppets that will be donated to a local charity.
Pick Up Community Service Opportunities
The Teen Center is also offering kits for teens to earn community service. Each kit will have instructions and materials necessary for them to follow and return back to the Teen Center. Hours will be given once finished products or organized materials are returned to one of our Teen Librarians. If there are any issues with the kit or in completing the task, email: email@example.com
Skeleton & Ghost Decor
Design colorful scary skeletons and spooky ghosts to decorate the Teen Center for the fall season. Receive 1 hour of community service, with a maximum of 2 packets per month.
Fall Leaf Decorators
Decorate 3 leaves in different shades of fall colors (orange, red, brown) to earn 1 hour of community service, with a maximum of 2 packets per month.
Online Community Service Opportunities
Looking for community service to do online? Check out our new community service opportunities you can do at the comfort of your own home! Earn Community Service by writing an article for The Current! You can earn a minimum of 2 hours for each submitted article that meets the required outlines.
Earn community service by reviewing young adult novels, e-books or print, on their reading level. You can earn 2 hours of community service for each submitted book review! There is a limit of 2 reviews per month.
Earn community service by reviewing PG or PG-13 movies from any source of film, DVD or digital streaming services. You can earn 2 hours of community service for each submitted movie review that meets the required guidelines. There is a limit of 2 reviews per month.
